Commonly asked questions about the Graduate Study Program

1. What are the requirements for entering candidates in this exam?

A. Teachers must hold Module Two status in order to enter and mentor candidates in the Graduate Program.  
B. Candidates must have successfully passed all 12 levels of the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus (Primary to Pre-Professional 3) with a grade of Highly Commended or higher, prior to entering the program.

2. Upon the successful completion of the Graduate Study Program, what will the candidate's status be?

Successful candidates will be granted Module Two Teacher Certification with Acrobatic Arts

3. What are the requirements for passing the Graduate Program?

A. Candidates must pass each of the 3 Online Study units with a grade of 75% or higher.  These units must be completed more than 2 weeks prior to the practical exam.
B. Candidates must pass the practical exam. This exam includes spotting 5 skills from the catgories: handstands, bridge recover, side aerials and back handsprings (or variation of those skills). Candidates will be asked to explain skill technique, progressions along with other questions on teaching and safety.  Candidates are required to provide their own demonstrator for the practical exam.  
C. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older on the day of the practical exam.
D. Candidates must complete the practical exam hours as determined by the practical exam.
E. Candidates have 1 year to complete the program from the date of registration to the completion of the practical exam.

4. How can I help my students prepare for this program?

Once candidates are registered to take the Graduate Program, a study guide will be forwarded to the candidate and mentor.  The study guide will review important topics, and prepare candidates for the written exam and the practical exam.  In addition, candidates will have access to the Acrobatic Arts AcroDance videos to assist in their preparation.
