Back Tuck and Back Layout Certification Course

Course Overview

This 8-hour course is designed to equip you with the necessary progressions and drills to help your dancers achieve these advanced skills safely and effectively.

There is also a lot of time scheduled to practice and become comfortable with the timing and feel of back tuck and back layout spotting.

*We do not recommend teachers register for all three courses back-to-back unless they have a strong acro teaching background and are confident in their spotting. (Aerial & Back Handspring, Module Two & Back Tuck & Back Layout)

Key Details:

  • 1 Day, 8 hour training
  • Live, In Person only

Prerequisites:

  • Module Two Certification with a current and active license (may be In Training). If it’s been a few years since completing Module Two, we recommend taking a Module Two Refresher before attending the Back Tuck Back Layout course.

  • Certified in Aerial & Back Handspring Certification and Module Two Teachers Certification (may be In Training)

For example, side aerial, roundoff back handspring, cartwheel back handspring step out, hold a handstand for 1 minute, 25 handstand shoulder shrugs, 15 consecutive V-snaps, 10 push-ups.
*Dancers should have a high degree of stamina and conditioning and be able to safely perform these progressions independently and with a high level of proficiency.
**Acrobatic Arts reserves the right to withdraw a demonstrator from any course session or practical exam if participation is deemed unsafe.
