Hand Balancing

Hand Balancing Live Online

Hand Balancing starts at the very beginning, teaching instructors everything they need to know about correct alignment, weight placement, and foundational technique so their students develop strong, safe building blocks for long-term progression. This course emphasizes clear progressions, body awareness, and intelligent coaching, allowing teachers to confidently guide students from basic inversions through controlled hand balancing skills.

Hand Balancing Teacher Training and Certification courses provide extensive education in progressions, spotting concepts, and preparatory conditioning so teachers feel confident, knowledgeable, and inspired to teach hand balancing as a sustainable practice—not a brute-force skill.

The course is two days, 3.5 hours each day.

During the course you will:

  • Learn the foundational levels of the Hand Balancing syllabus, including weight transfer, body alignment, balance awareness, and controlled inversions
  • Understand the technical requirements and expectations of each level
  • Learn how to safely teach and progress hand balancing skills using structured, logical progressions
  • Explore anatomy, alignment, and stability concepts specific to hand balancing
  • Learn preparatory strength, mobility, and conditioning exercises to support hand balancing development
  • Learn spotting concepts and safety considerations relevant to hand balancing
  • Learn how to integrate hand balancing into your studio or program using progress charts, report cards, and certification pathways

No hand balancing blocks, wall space, or demonstrators are required to attend the Hand Balancing Theory course. Learning takes place through observation, discussion, visual demonstration, and guided analysis led by the course conductor.

At the completion of the course, participants will receive a Hand Balancing Teaching Certificate and Certified Hand Balancing badge. The course also includes a comprehensive manual and marketing materials to support studio implementation.

Following this course, the next step is participating in the Hand Balancing exams, if you wish to take your students to progressions with an examiner.
