Aerial and Back Handspring Certification Course

Course Overview

This course focuses on the progressions, drills and spotting of the side aerial and the back handspring. There will be adequate practice time to gain confidence in the technique of spotting these skills. Additionally, the course includes an introduction to developing and spotting the front aerial. 

Key Details:

• 4.25 hours of training followed by practical exams (which run approximately 2 hours post course)
• Live, In Person only
• Practical Testing held at end of course
• This course is a prerequisite for Module Two Certification

Prerequisites:

• Module One with a current and active license (confident spotting front and back walkovers, and cartwheels)
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Teachers are required to attend this course with a student(s) who has mastered the basic progressions leading up to side aerials and back handsprings, for example, one hand cartwheel, back Arabian limber, handstand shoulder shrugs, front walkover, hold handstand on the wall/plank for 1 minute.

Requirements: To complete ABHS Certification, participants must attend the course, complete a practical exam and complete practical hours (0-100 hours, depending on practical exam results).

Prerequisites

This Certification is ideal for teachers who want to gain confidence in spotting these skills and is required to attend Module Two.
