Registration for Aerial and Back Handspring Certification Course

Location:  Centreville Dance Academy:  6031 Centreville Crest Lane Centreville, VA 20121

Date and Time: Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 9:00pm - 1:00pm EDT (+ practical exam 1:15pm to 3:30pm) - Eastern Time Zone

This certification course focuses on the technical requirements and spotting of the Side & Front Aerial and Back Handspring from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Practical exam begins at 1:15pm until 3:30pm, in 15 minute intervals.  Time designations is dependent on the queue of participants.

Teachers are required to attend with a demonstrator who is working at Level 6 or above and has mastered the progressions leading up to side aerials and back handsprings.  IE: one hand cartwheels, chassé step hop (all cartwheels), back arabian limber, front & back walkover, handstand shoulder shrugs, hold handstand on the wall/plank for 1 minute (as a minimum) for this workshop.

***Module One is a prerequisite to taking this course. This course is ideal for teachers who do not feel comfortable spotting these skills, and is a prerequisite to the Module Two course.
 

This certification will allow teachers to enter their students into exams levels 7 & 8.
