Date: Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14, 2024 (9:00am-5:00pm)
Teachers are required to attend with a demonstrator who has mastered the progressions leading up to side aerials and back handsprings. IE: one hand cartwheels, chassé step hop (all cartwheels), back arabian limber, front & back walkover, handstand shoulder shrugs, hold handstand on the wall/plank for 1 minute (as a minimum) for this course.
There is a MANDATORY Online Study that must be completed prior this course. Material from the Online Study will be sent out 7 days prior to course (estimated time required 2 - 4 hours).
This course will build on the skills learned in Module One, and cover the second half of the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus; Levels 7 - Pre Professional 3. More in-depth classes in flexibility, hand balancing and limbering, emphasis on teaching & spotting more difficult tumbling (front and side aerials and back handsprings). Teachers will learn about advanced transitions for AcroDance and discuss common anatomy issues facing the AcroDancer. Teachers will be required to complete practical hours following this course to complete certification. The number of practical hours required will depend on the results of the candidate's practical exam (25 - 100 hours).
Module Two Certified teachers are eligible to enter dancers in exams from Primary to Pre Professional 3
Note: The Aerial and Back Handspring Workshop is a prerequisite to Module 2. Please register for a workshop in advance of your attendance to Module 2.
